Health is often measured by numbers: body weight, cholesterol, sleep scores, hormones, fitness trackers, or lab values. While these metrics can provide useful insight, they are only pieces of the puzzle. True health runs much deeper.
Your “Internal GPS” is your body and mind’s way of telling you whether you are aligned with health. Simply put, if you consistently feel energized, mentally clear, emotionally balanced, physically capable, and resilient enough to handle daily life with ease you are most likely aligned with your “Internal GPS”.
What this really comes down to is this: Can you get through your day without feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, or physically limited? If the answer is yes most of the time, then you are likely moving in the right direction.
Finding your Internal GPS, what to think about:

The Physical Pillar of Wellness
Physical health includes movement, nutrition, hydration, sleep, recovery, digestion, and energy levels. Your body should feel capable and relatively pain-free. Frequent illness, constant fatigue, poor recovery, or needing caffeine just to function may signal that your body needs more support through better nutrition, stress management, sleep, or movement.
What to think about:
How is your energy? Do you have enough to get through your day.
How is your pain? Does it disrupt the thing you need or want to do?

Mental Performance & Focus
Many people today are physically present but emotionally exhausted. Chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout can drain energy just as much as poor nutrition. I often encourage clients to “keep energy higher than anxiety.” High-quality energy feels calm, focused, and purposeful.
Mental health also includes focus, clarity, and perspective. Brain fog, irritability, forgetfulness, and lack of motivation are often signs that something is out of alignment. Sometimes improving health simply means slowing down, managing expectations, and creating more balance.
What to think about:
How calm & focused do you feel?
How did you handle the last obstacle that came your way?

Social Dimension of Wellness
Humans are designed for connection. Supportive relationships, community, and laughter can positively impact both emotional and physical health.
What to think about:
How supported do you feel with the people around you?
Can you be your true authentic self around them?

External Factors Influencing Wellness
Your environment matters too. Sleep quality, daily routines, sunlight exposure, workspace organization, food quality, and even digital overload can influence how you feel. Small environmental changes often create major improvements in consistency and energy.
What to think about:
Do you feel safe & secure where you live?
Does the area around you promote positivity and security?

Existential health refers to meaning, purpose,
values, and fulfillment.
Ask yourself:
Do you feel connected to something meaningful?
Do your habits align with your values?
Do you wake up with purpose?
Use your “Internal GPS” to assess all situations.
True wellness often comes from living in alignment with what matters most to you.
At the end of the day, health is not just about looking healthy on paper. It is about feeling resilient, capable, energized, and connected enough to fully participate in your life.
Stay ambitious in your health journey but always check your “Internal GPS” to ensure you are moving toward what truly matters. Interested in learning if YOU are truly healthy?
